Following a rigorous shortlisting, Jack is delighted to announce that he will be attending the National Association of Brass Band Conductors annual conducting competition where he will display his conducting skills with the Eccles Borough Band on one of three test pieces:

Tournament for Brass, Eric Ball
Jack sincerely looks forward to working on all of these, though very much hopes for the opportunity to work on Montage, one of his favourite works for brass band with it’s links to Witold Lutoslawski, to whom Jack owes much of his compositional voicing and inspiration.
Whatever the result, Jack feels incredibly honoured to be invited to the finals and hopes to prove himself in a tough field of competition.
RECENT NEWS
March 2018: Jack recently began rehearsal with the Yorkshire Imps Band in preparations for the Senior Cup at this year's Spring Festival.
