I'm absolutely delighted to see Derwent Brass nominated for the 4barsrest 'Band of the Year' 2022 award, among some extremely fine company.
We have a band who's ambition and fervour in pushing the boundaries of the brass band medium truly does deserve recognition; and nomination, regardless of result, is a real testament to the group's continued musical growth and success.
What an organisation to be a part of.
