Following a rather turbulent period after the areas, Jack and the Yorkshire Imps teamed up in April to go to the British Open Spring Ferstival on May 12th.
After a months hard work, the band competed in the Senior Cup tier on Balay’s Diadem of Gold and came a very creditable 6th. This puts the band in a strong position to return to the event next year and all going well 2 years away from promotion and a return to the British Open, one of the pinnacle contests of British Brass banding. See full results of the contest here.
This is an excellent first show together and hopefully is a sign of a successful and long term collaboration between Jack and the band with many more successful contest results and musical performances at concerts and other artistic events.
Looking forward, the band will be attending Bolsover entertainments contest and the Scottish Open later this year as well as performing in many concerts and events. Keep an eye on the calendar to see what Jack and the band are up to.
